The Water Aerobics Instructor is responsible for instructing water aerobics classes that exceed expectations and create a positive class atmosphere that motivates members to reach their personal goals. The ability to modify exercises to maintain a safe and effective class in accordance with industry standards. To be a self motivator, energetic and responsible. Applicants must enjoy working with adults & seniors, be reliable, and have a positive work attitude

• Represent the company in a positive manner at all times 
• Maintain class attendance records 
• Attend all mandatory meetings and trainings 
• Maintain required certifications and complete continuing education to remain current with industry standards 
• Assume other duties as assigned.

• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills 
• Excellent listening skills 
• Ability to motivate and nurture others 
• Strong work ethic that includes punctuality, organization, and attention to detail 
• Ability to maintain a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude 
• Outwardly facing professional appearance

• Ability to quickly acquire and apply new knowledge and skills

• Nationally recognized group fitness certification or equivalent degree in a related field required 
• Experience teaching group fitness classes preferred
