A lifelong swimmer since the age of 5, I never thought my career would involve swimming. It was only after I decided to stay home with my kids that I got involved with my community swim team that was just getting organized. A few short years later I discovered that the pool was my calling and I started my new career.
I have taught and coached at several levels over the last 20 years including: Learn-to-Swim, Summer League & USA Swimming Teams as well as US Masters. I am a USA Swimming Certified Coach with my American Swim Coaches Association Level 3 Education Certification. I started our community’s swim team in 2005 and continue coaching both at the Age Group as well as High School levels for many years. I spent the last 10 years overseeing and growing award winning Aquatics Programs for LifeTime Athletic, USFitness (formerly Sport&Health) and Kids First Swim Schools. I have come full circle to lead LetSwim into its next phase.

I started instructing while serving in the Marine Corps over 25 years ago. This set the stage many years later when I began teaching part-time for Kids First Swim Schools. Shortly thereafter, I became a successful swim school Manager for Kids First and then their DC District Manager. I was instrumental in assisting the Kids First Corporate office in hiring, training and opening more than 25 schools in the mid Atlantic region. Now as the co-owner of LetSwim, I am excited to bring my years of teaching and managing experience to your community.

Most notably, in order to kayak, Caleb has passed the North Carolina official swim test three years in a row and is comfortable in water of any kind. Be it the rivers of Asheville North Carolina, off the pier at Virginia Beach, or just his backyard pool, Caleb is happy to submerge himself and swim around. Outside of the water, Caleb is a friendly and laid-back guy who's always happy to help answer or work with any concerns children or parents may have. From babysitting and volunteering, Caleb is experienced and happy to help people of any age and all walks of life. Most of all as a swim instructor, Caleb believes in making sure children enjoy learning to swim just like he did and will do his best to make sure everyone he teaches leaves happy that they chose him.
