Practice Equipment

Kickboard

Most practice locations DO NOT have kickboards available for use. We use them daily for our kick sets to improve kicking technique and build leg strength. If you are an experienced swimmer, we recommend a smaller sized board. 

Fins are incorporated into our kick sets as well used in drills to teach and improve technique for all four competitive strokes. We use the Positive Drive Fins because they force swimmers to use the proper leg position while kicking. In addition, the are the only fin that can also be used when swimming Breaststroke. Paddles are used during pull sets to improve freestyle stroke technique as well as create added resistance in the water for a better upper body workout. If you suffer from shoulder injuries, please do not use paddles. 

The pull buoy is used during the pull set to keep your lower body on the surface which allows you to focus on your arms and not your body position. They also require you to engage your core, for added ab work.
